After much consideration, I resigned from my role as Head of Research of Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences. I could no longer combine the combination of this role and building FLR and then you have to choose! In the internal Wittenborg newsletter it was nicely summarized:
Dr. Nicolet Theunissen Lays her role down as Head of Research Centre.
Nicolet has been with Wittenborg almost 2 years and has been setting up the important ground stones for the Research Centre and the Doctoral College. While taking on a part time position, Nicolet is herself an entrepreneur and her business, still at a start-up phase, is growing fast. Nicolet can no longer combine the two roles anymore. Her business requires her full attention. From the end of February 2020, Nicolet will be remaining associated with Wittenborg through projects, PHD-supervision and other activities related to Doctoral College. She will no longer be taking the role as Head of Research Centre. We wish Nicolet further success with her business and help us all get better prepared for the unknown future. I am not saying goodbye completely, because I will continue to work as a Senior Scientist for Wittenborg on an incidental basis, for instance for the LONKT a> project and for supervising PhD students. In the role of Head of Research I have been privileged the last two years to do great things for the warm family called Wittenborg. And my linkedin profile has become much more international!
